Overview
Extra virgin olive oil that is extracted from handpicked early harvest Koroneiki olives that grow on the rocky semi mountainous slopes of southern Greece. Ideal altitude and climate conditions provide a full bodied aromatic and pungent green juice that is stated from ancient times by Hippocrates as “medicinal”.
Due to its polyphenols, olive oil contributes to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress leading to a healthier heart. Clinical trials have shown the potential benefits of high phenolic olive oil for cardiovascular, autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases as well as many cancers. These include Alzheimer’s, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Type II Diabetes, Parkinson’s and many types of cancer; breast, prostate, liver, colon and leukemia.
